Team Sask > Midget Selects
MIDGET SELECTS PROGRAM
The Midget Selects Program is one of Sask Baseball's elite baseball programs. Every year the top 16 and 17-year-old players are scouted throughout the province. Evaluation camps are held in May to identify the talent pool in Saskatchewan. Players are also identified the previous year by the use of the Bantam Selects Tournament.
Along with the ID Camps, the coaching staff will scout the May Long weekend Midget ID tournament, which Moose Jaw hosts each year. If your midget team would like to enter this tournament please contact Charlie Meacher in Moose Jaw at 692-3387.
Players who are selected to play on Team Sask Midget Selects will compete at the Baseball Canada Cup where they are scouted by coaches from Baseball Canada, Major League Baseball scouts and college baseball programs.
If you require more information on Midget Selects program please contact Greg Brons at the Sask Baseball office in Saskatoon.

COLLEGE BASEBALL OPPORTUNITIES
In the last 10-15 years there have been a number of Canadian baseball players participating in college baseball programs in the United States and Canada. College baseball offers Canadian players an opportunity to achieve a university/college degree while furthering their baseball careers. Often players may receive part or a majority of their education paid for through an athletic or academic scholarship as well as exposure to MLB baseball as college baseball is covered by various area scouts.
